Will you be our next four star SOUS CHEF / SENIOR CHEF DE PARTIE?

We require an experienced, confident, reliable and hardworking full time Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team from end July / mid August 2010.

We are a busy family run, four star rated dining inn with eight fully refurbished bedrooms, offering modern British food with a European Influence to a very high standard.

You must speak good English and be a real "team player", working alongside our existing Head Chef & kitchen team.

Live in Accommodation available.

JOB DESRCIPTION

The Inn at Fossebridge is an independent, established, growing, country dining  inn in The Cotswolds; driven by local produce and quality staff, with great emphasis on customer satisfaction and maintaining exceptional high standards.  An ethos of the company is taking a modern approach to classic British cuisine, and not over complicating the food. Development and training of our staff is paramount. Opportunities for progression within this growing company are great, as is job security.

As the Sous Chef you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation  in the Head Chef’s Absence; maintaining the highest of standards of food quality and service. Meeting the expectations of the client for customer satisfaction in this high pressure environment as well as taking responsibility for ordering, stock control, and health and hygiene and having a sound understanding of GP margins

.
The candidate will have similar experience in high level catering; a good background in pub dining is preferred but not essential.

Alternatively a strong Senior Chef de Partie with experience, who is driven and determined to progress, may also be considered.

The appropriate candidate must be able to;

  • Demonstrate their culinary skills and knowledge to the highest of levels and standards.
  • Be highly motivated and have the ability to motivate and develop existing staff.
  • Committed to providing consistency throughout, to meet the customers needs.
  • Have excellent kitchen management skills with a sound understanding of financial, and health and hygiene aspects. 
  • Be passionate about modern British cuisine, with European influences.
  • Work under pressure and be able to cope with high volume.
