Entrepreneur Elizabeth takes to the airways to talk about her life at The Inn of Fossebridge
Elizabeth Jenkins, general manager of The Inn at Fossebridge, is to be featured in a BBC radio series called The Entrepreneurs.
Elizabeth is the daughter of owner Robert Jenkins, who acquired the rundown inn four years ago, then set out on a major refurbishment programme which has earned the property four star accreditation from both the AA and Quality in Tourism, the VisitBritain mark.
Elizabeth, 30, had chosen media and journalism as her profession when she left school, then found a passion for cooking and attended the famed Pru Leith Cookery School where she graduated with distinction.
She joined a small private caterer, undertaking lunch and supper parties for politicians and celebrities, before creating her own catering business, Mint, which continues to offer food for outside catering events and intimate dinner parties.
Her role at The Inn at Fossebridge, which is between Cirencester and Northleach, is to be responsible for the day to day running of the operation and to support the chefs, lead by Laurent Guillery, who have won accolades for the quality and creativity of their dishes, which run from excellent pub food to English and French based cusine.
Elizabeth, who has taken up horse riding since arriving in the Cotswolds with father Robert, will talk about her ambitions as one of the series of programmes on BBC Radio Gloucestershire, between Christmas and New Year.
Reservations may be made by calling Elizabeth or Robert Jenkins on 01285 720721.
