MP Praises Inn at Fossebridge

Cotswolds MP Geoffrey Clifton Brown congratulated the refurbished Inn at Fossebridge during a special re-launch day attended by close to 100 guests today (29 June).
He said that there were too many hotels, pubs, post offices, shops - the very infrastructure of the - closing and causing beautiful villages to go into decline.
But Robert Jenkins and his daughter Liz had taken the gamble to restore what had been in years gone a beautiful Cotswold hostelry.
Robert and Liz had put real heart into the hotel and the surrounding villages of Fossebridge, between Cirencester and Northleach, Chedworth the Colns.
The hotel has eight fully refurbished bedrooms - each named after a Cotswolds village or town - wonderful restored bar, lounge dining room, business suite. exception country pub food.
"It is a spectacular result", said Mr Clifton Brown " and one to which we should all pay tribute. Without people like Robert and Liz our villages will die".
The white wine and canapés event including an exhibition by the renowned Marseille artist TIAN and Roy Kirby's jazzmen played for the three hours long party.
Other guests included Cirencester's Mayor, Shirley Alexander, and friends and guests from around the Cotswolds and beyond.
Between they helped raise almost £400 via raffle in which Robert and Liz gave a luxury weekend for two as the prize. The money was to help Indigo, the counselling service for youngsters in Cirencester suffering from problems with sexual illness, drugs and alcohol dependency.
Indigo leader Dr Gill McInerney said:" With the money from Cirencester Rotary Club and the huge generosity of the Inn at Fossebridge we have now guaranteed Indigo for the foreseeable future".
The hotel also launched its new literature, advertising and website created by designer Jeff Meaton, writer Robin Thompson (project manager and P R consultant) and web site designer/builder Simon Musgrove-Wethey of 310k Media Interactive.
