Dear Robert & Samantha,
What a wonderful week we had staying at the “Inn at Fossebridge”. It was particularly delightful to meet you and your friendly staff.
The meals were simply fantastic, and we thought our bedroom was very comfortable and homely overlooking the glorious garden and lake.
Thank you once again for helping to make our stay a lovely experience.
Yours Sincerely

Dear Samantha,
On behalf of the Royal Air Foces Association, I would sincerely like to take this opportunity to thank you, Robert and all your Team for all your help, not only in promoting our Fosseway Rally, but also for letting us use your lovely Hotel as the start venue.
Without doubt we couldn’t have done it without your help and support, and everyone who attended commented on how lovely the Venue was and how friendly your Staff were.
We were so pleased with the outcome of the event and the money raised, especially as it is our first time that this event has taken place within our Charity. In total we have raised a total of £250.00. The money raised will go towards our Miles More Minute campaign which will enable our serving personnel to have more time to speak to their families and loved ones whilst they are so far apart.
On a personal note, it was a pleasure working with you all and we hope to repeat the event next year.
It would be fantastic to use your venue again if you are happy to do so.
Thank you very much for all of your help and support.
Yours faithfully

Dear Mr. Jenkins & all the Staff at “The Inn”
We have had a very enjoyable week as a family in the Cottage. The surroundings are beautiful and the cottage more than comfortable.
Thank you for 2 superb meals last Saturday and Sunday. I am sure that this week will live on in the children’s memories for a long time.
All-in-all it was a great holiday and we wouldn’t hesitate to return in the near future.
Many thanks
Yours Sincerely

Dear Samantha,
Shipton Quilters Summer Supper Party
Once again our summer supper party was a great success, thanks to you and your team.
The ladies of our patchwork and quilting group have asked me to thank you on their behalf. They unanimously agreed the food was delicious. The plaice, in particular, was mouth-watering and those, who ordered it enjoyed it tremendously. The addition of honey to cream served with the summer pudding was proclaimed a great idea – we were all having ‘tasters’ and it was yummy.
Please pass our compliments and thanks to your chef and his staff. Our thanks also to our two waitresses, they were charming and looked after us very well.
Many thanks Samantha for your help in organizing our evening at The Inn, we are looking forward to being with you again in December.

“A distinctive, family run Georgian hotel, with professional standards of hospitality”
The Inn at Fossebridge is run by Robert Jenkins and his daughter Samantha. He is ex-RASC and his army training is evident in his smart attire and courteous manner. Those reviewers who whinge about eccentric standards miss the point- this is no Premier Inn but a family affair; if they are busy in the bar, you may have to wait a minute at reception. But you will find extremely friendly and flexible service - by nice young people doing their best to please - in a fine building with a large ‘beer garden’ and pond.
We had two people arrive after 9.30pm for dinner but they were happily accommodated, despite the kitchen being officially closed at the time.
Rooms are more than adequate and spacious, all with either baths or showers, although light sleepers should ask for a room overlooking the garden, as the hotel is on a road that sees some traffic quite early. The dining room has one of the finest flagstoned floors you will see, and the food is excellent.
They were very busy on our first night and made it clear that there would be a wait (one never minds delay if one is warned). There is also a good wine list (try the Chilean red, second on the list). We left with a room key but Mr. Jenkins was politeness itself at the misappropriation. A nice lady called Gina served us a wonderful breakfast at 6.30am (we were exhibiting at the nearby Fairford Air show) with cheery chatter and narry a moan about our early alarm call knock at 6.15 am

Hi Samantha,
Yes, it was really lovely thank you. I was going to drop you an email to say thank you. The detail you put into the Garden Room was fantastic, table setting and candles. Am about to add a comment to the tripadvisor website to that affect. Everyone thought the food was wonderful.
All the best,
Kirsty Gardner

To Robert & Samantha Jenkins (and all the staff)
We would both like to thank you and all your staff for making our stay at the Inn so relaxing and enjoyable. And the food – from breakfast through to dinner – were moments to savour; always superbly cooked and sensationally delicious.
Rarely do we find “family” hotels that are so aware of the fine points of detail that make a stay so comfortable. Congratulations to you all for getting the balance so perfectly right.
We will return at some time in the future and will recommend you to others in the meantime. Have a wonderful remaining summer, and again, thank you for our few days of sheer joy in your company.
Very best wishes to each and every one of you.

“Fantastic Hotel- beautiful surroundings”
My wife and I had a wonderful night in the Fossebridge Inn, which is a great example of first class English hospitality, in beautiful surroundings. On arriving at the hotel, you are immediately struck by the beautiful gardens to the rear of the property and adjacent river. The hotel has an old English atmosphere with a contemporary feel, the rooms are large, welcoming and uphold the character of the building. The restaurant offers a varied menu and the food was excellent. I was impressed with the varied selection of beers on offer, and the staff were always willing to give advice on the food and drink.

Dear Mr Jenkins,
Thank you for letting us rent your lakeside cottage. All the families had an extremely enjoyable stay. Thank you also for finding my son’s toy elephant. I am sorry to inconvenience you and appreciate you sending it back to us.
Please find enclosed £10.00 to cover any postage and packaging. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there are any problems.
Yours sincerely,

Hi Samantha,
We just wanted to thank you for the return of the deposit cheque, received last week. As we left at different times last week, we didn’t really get an opportunity to thank you for the use of such a lovely cottage- it was absolutely ideal for our needs. We had a wonderful weekend in the cottage – the kids loved playing by the lake and the adults enjoyed the evenings by the fire, chatting late into the night. It took us all of last week to recover from the long walks and the rather boozy evenings!
We hope to return one day soon.
Regards,
Julian Grant & Jo Counsell

“Fantastic Inn, what a welcome!”
I would like to thank Robert and Samantha for an exceptionally warm welcome and an enjoyable two night’s stay during the Cheltenham Festival. Although the Inn was extremely busy, the food was well presented and mouth-wateringly tasty. From their delicious crayfish sandwiches to their succulent rib eye steaks, we were very well fed. Special thanks also to barman Mike for keeping our glasses well filled. I may have lost money at the races but I have made some great friends at The Inn at Fossebridge. Roll on next year- we will be back. Visit was for pleasure

To all the team at the Inn at Fossebridge,
I wanted to write to you all to say thank you so much for the wonderful fundraising event you held earlier this month for The Wiggly Worm charity.
You raised £385 that will go towards helping a number of young people within our Kitchen Challenge Programme that we are currently running here in Gloucestershire.
I have heard from Rob what a fantastic event it was with so many enthusiastic and fun people taking part.
With the generosity and spirit of companies like yours, The Wiggly Worm is able to thrive and our local people benefit.
On behalf of everyone at The Wiggly Worm, my thanks to all of you.

Hello Samantha,
I write to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay with you over the weekend.
The most frequently used expression by all who attended was "brilliant"! Your rooms are extremely comfortable, your food is excellent and the service impeccable. We had a really enjoyable time and I thank you for looking after us so well.
As you know, some of our party had not met for thirty years and others not at all, but the ambiance created by the Inn at Fossebridge produced such a friendly atmosphere that it appeared that everyone had known each other for years. I have to apologise if some of my party kept your staff up rather late on Saturday. I departed at a civilised hour of 11.30 pm, but I understand you had to start clearing the table at 1.30 am to make a point that those still revelling should go to bed.
I have already had many calls of appreciation from the family and suggestions that we make it an annual event. If that is the decision, I will get back to you in due course.
Thank you again for looking after us so well.
Kind regards
John

Dear Samantha
Thank you for organising our reception and dinner so well yesterday.
You had given so much thought to everything and you had created the perfect atmosphere in both rooms - welcoming, relaxing and soothing. The buffet was absolutely delicious and just what was needed after rather a long, emotional day.
Please pass on our thanks to all concerned - we are most grateful.
All the best Su Garnett.

Good morning Samantha,
A huge thank you from Caroline and myself for organising the party so well on Saturday, we received great comments about the food and the venue, everyone loved it. It went like clockwork and we all had such a fantastic evening. The staff were really helpful and kind to us. Thank you again for your help and please do pass on our compliments to the chef for such lovely food.
We had been talking about that evening for literally years and to be honest we couldn’t have wished it to be better.
Thank you once again, best wishes,
Debbie and Caroline

Dear Robert and Samantha
How kind of you to send a wedding card to us - thank you so much.
However we both want to say what a wonderful job you did on September 5th 2009 and what a big part you played in making our day perfect. You were so organised and efficient and yet at the same time struck a note of informality that we wanted.
We have had so much positive feedback especially about the delicious food. The Pimms table laid out on the lawn as we arrived was something we shall never forget!
Thank you so much for all your hard work.
Ann & Paul Deamer
Hello,
So sorry for running off with your key!
Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and I will be back soon, as well as recommending The Inn at Fossebridge to my friends.
Kind regards,

Warm and efficient welcome from the landlord. Attentive, efficient and friendly young staff in attractive old world bar. Striking old Cotswold stone building off Fosse Way with big lawned garden at rear and landscaped pond next to upper reaches of Cotswold river. Attractive room and comfortable beds. Very helpful in returning a valuable item I had left behind. Great job and many thanks.
Dear Samantha,
On behalf of all the ladies in our patchwork and quilting group, I must thank you, and the staff, for the most pleasant of evenings.
All the ladies were delighted with the food, the venue and the lovely atmosphere you have created at The Inn. I have received numerous complimentary comments about the delicious meals.
Many thanks for all your help in organising our supper last night.
Very best wishes,
Shelagh Mack
To Robert, Lizzie and Samantha,
I just wanted to write to say a huge thank you for looking after my family so well in the run up to our wedding. We had a wonderful week in the cottage, and it was just the most beautiful place to spend my last few days as a single girl.
Thank you so much for everything.
